* The TRIAD Athletic Conference (TAC) was formed in 1994 and was made up of: Oak Ridge Military, Woodland Christian, O'Neal School and Westchester Academy.
* In 1995, Cresset Christian and Neuse Baptist joined the Triad Athletic Conference.
* Neuse Baptist left the TAC after the 1996-97 school year.
* Before the 1996-97 school year, Woodland Christian left the TAC.
* In 1999, Carolina Friends joined the TAC.
* In 2000, Calvary Baptist joined the TAC.
* In 2004, High Point Christian joined the TAC and Cresset Christian left the TAC.
* In 2006, American Hebrew Academy joined the TAC and Westchester Academy changed is name to Westchester Country Day.
* In 2007, Caldwell Academy and Salem Academy joined the TAC.
* In 2008, O'Neal School left the TAC.
* In 2010, Burlington Christian, Salem Baptist and Trinity School of Durham and Chapel Hill joined the TAC, and Calvary Baptist left the TAC..
* In 2011, Elon School (later changed to Burlington School) joined the TAC.
* In 2012, Elon School left the TAC.
* In 2016, Burlington School (formerly Elon School) joined the TAC, and Calvary Baptist Day rejoined the TAC and changed its name to Calvary Day.
* In 2018, the TAC ceased to exist.
