Brookshire pulled away to win by 15 seconds in a new course record
of 15:25. The old course record was 15:36 by Chan Pons of Franklin, NC in 1994.
The runner on the left in this photo (#240) is Graham Lovett (Summerville, SC),
last year's South Carolina 4-A runner up.

Watauga HS holding the team trophy. Watauga won 125 to 166 over
2nd-place Mount Tabor, despite running without injured Jason Kluttz.

Cardinal Gibbons' Chris Elder was the
third finisher from NC, finishing 5th in 16:01.

Sun Valley's Kevin Crosby, the defending state 3-A champion,
was the fourth finisher from NC, with a 16:12 in 8th place.

Danielle Deines (T.C. Roberson) ran 19:54 for 11th place.
(11th place on the results page is listed inaccurately as
Diana Fakhoury of the same school).

Teammate Jennifer Kelley followed with a 20:02 in 13th.
